"Cairo’s chaos. Alexandria’s silence. A face behind a window. A mosque under golden light. This is not just Egypt—it’s the way I see Egypt."
Over the past months, I wandered through cities, alleys, rooftops, and coastlines. My tool? Just a mobile camera. But my purpose was to document the ordinary beauty, fleeting emotions, and raw humanity found in Egypt’s streets.
This project is divided into six chapters—each one capturing a unique theme or mood. All photos are real moments, no filters, no staging. Just light, shadow, people… and the stories that live between them.
1. Black & White Realities
A poetic tribute to Cairo’s timeless character—mosques silhouetted in sun, metro crowds in motion, memories frozen in old photographs. There’s something eternal about the city when it's stripped of color.
📷 Includes:
Old Islamic architecture
Metro & traffic scenes
Forgotten portraits
Street cats in shadow
2. Café Culture & Human Habits
Life in Egypt happens outside. In cafés, sidewalks, small talk on a corner, or next to a cart of bags. These photos explore everyday life, rituals, and the subtle social rhythm of the streets.
📷 Includes:
Outdoor cafés
People gathering
Market stalls
Hookah shops and everyday chaos
3. Skies Above Egypt
From Alexandria to Cairo, I looked up. The sky told different stories each day—clouds stretching like waves, reflections after rain, sunsets bathing the city in gold. This chapter is a breath of air between the noise.
📷 Includes:
Skies, clouds, reflections
Mosques under dramatic skies
Sunset silhouettes and rooftops
4. Village Dust & Childhood Eyes
The slower rhythm of Egypt’s countryside. Children behind old windows, dusty doors, men gathering on plastic chairs, kittens and motorbikes. There’s softness and strength in rural Egypt.
📷 Includes:
Village homes & textures
Kids, windows, tuk-tuks
Cats, drinks, silence
5. Graffiti & Grit
Walls speak in Egypt. Graffiti, protest art, colorful heart wings, religious icons, broken dolls, and leftovers from better days. The streets carry their own history, whether we notice it or not.
📷 Includes:
Graffiti walls
Old objects, trash, toys
Vintage architecture
Railway tracks & glass cups
6. Alexandria by the Sea
Boats, concrete blocks, waves crashing. Alexandria’s coast has its own story—of fishermen, rusted beauty, and soft light. This chapter is my ode to the sea’s calm power.
📷 Includes:
Fishing boats & harbors
Footprints in wet sand
Sea walls & reflections
Captured entirely with mobile phone
No filters, only light corrections
Locations: Cairo, Alexandria, Egyptian Countryside
If these images made you feel, pause, or remember—I'd love to hear which one spoke to you most. I believe every street holds a thousand untold stories. Thank you for taking this journey with me.
